Born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine, Sofia Khatkin emigrated to the United States in the summer of 1980. Along with settling in a new country and frantically learning a new language, she continued her career in Business and Finance.
Throughout her successful career, Sofia has worked for retail, manufacturing, and not-for-profit industries and has continually proven herself to be a competent and dedicated employee.
Sofia holds a degree in Finance and Accounting. By staying abreast of and educating herself on the newest developing technologies, she has added IT and marketing to her strengths.
As a former client, Sofia was thrilled to join the Northeast Benefit Services, Inc. family in 2007 as Business Manager. She is responsible for day-to-day financial operations, HR, benefits, internal IT, distributions. She also works in the capacity of Plan administrator administering 401 (k) Plans.
“I thrive on challenges and always look forward to new projects sent my way.” At this time, Sofia is heading a project of revamping the existing Web site. She will continue in the roll of Web coordinator.
Sofia lives in Rochester with her family.
